Communicate about Other’s Feeling with Your Kid

It is a very good habit to talk to your kid. It is the best way to teach your kid. It is an indirect learning process that is more effective and long-lasting. It is the best time to express the everyday activities. When it becomes a family ritual to share the feeling and expression and discuss other’s feelings and emotions. When the kid sees such trends, they started to learn everything and respond accordingly. When everyone talks at their turn, they learn to wait until the first person completes the talk and the second continued it. Understanding the emotions of others is important but respecting other’s feelings is far more important.

Label the Feelings

Make your habit to label your feelings. For example, if you feel grieved, find meaning in your grief and came out from your bad mental condition. But if you feel sad express your feeling, because your kid learns to express the feeling from you. If you want to cry, cry out so the kid also learns how to react in such conditions.

Explain Other’s Emotions

It is a common belief of the parents that kids are ego-centric. They think that everything happens according to their desire and willingness. Egoistic kids start relating the events happening in their surroundings. Kids are not able to understand the multiple perspectives. They only think about themselves. Their minds are not so sharp as to think on multiple levels. Also, kids could not understand others. Being a parent it is your responsibility to teach your kids about a different perspective. When they react on any matter, tell them the other side of the story. In this way, their brain is trained accordingly. With the help of incidents around you start explaining to your kid about the feelings of others.
