When a person starts the day with exercise, he will stay fresh and active. Morning hours are always a rush and you need a quick and easy breakfast before the workout. Many people did not like to eat much breakfast and prefer light foods. There is a different perception about eating the food in the morning. Few people prefer to eat before the exercise while others do breakfast after the workout. There are several studies that support the fact eating before breakfast is good. But go to the gym after one hour of eating breakfast. Heavy foods cause bloated feelings and there are chances that you feel sick during gym.

It is better to eat the food you are habitual to consume in the morning, otherwise, there are clear changes that your stomach will be upset. Snacks will help you to retain your energy level between and after the workout. There are also few restrictions about snacks. If your gym hours are more than one hour, you can eat carbohydrate food or have a drink. Consuming a post-workout meal is important. During exercise glycogen is depleted from the body and glycogen is highly important for muscle repair, recovery, and overall functioning of the body. Therefore, eat a complete meal enriched with carbohydrates.

  • After fruits, another easy option is smoothies. Smoothies are so versatile and you have greater options in smoothies. It also has a lot of energy. Mix up the fruits, veggies, yogurt, and other protein powders.  
  • Another close option to a smoothie is energy bowls. The basic concept of energy bowls is similar to smoothies. Along with fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds are also added to the energy bowls.
  • Greek yogurt is also a major pick for many workout lovers. It comprises a high amount of energy. Plain or Greek yogurt contains protein, probiotics, and calcium in large amounts.
  • To have a full pack of carbohydrates and fiber, you can have oatmeal as it a classic staple. It gives you a high boost of energy.
  • You can also have homemade pancakes for breakfast. It is a great source to provide grains and carbs to the body. For gaining the extra amount of energy, you can also combine nut butter with this. But try to eat it in portion control as an excess amount of eating is not good for workout body.
  • For a quick and easy breakfast, you can have toast in the breakfast too. Although the idea of toast seems boring to many people but believe it or not, it is a versatile option. It is also easily digestible and you can add extra flavor with the help of jam, potato, and avocado.
