Smoking is the most common addiction in our society and people easily get addicted to cigarette smoke. Smoking causes huge health issues and badly affect one’s personality and physical appearance. Smoking habits weaken your teeth and hair. Due to smoking the healthy years of your life subtracted from your life and your body becomes weak and old. Decreases fertility and strengthened the bones and heart. Physical Appearance of the body is effected in several ways.
Smoking Effects Skin
Smoking causes loose skin. The tobacco used in cigarette smoke affects the body badly and damages the skin. Along with skin, a person with the consumption of smoke is more affected by the sun. Smoking deprives the skin of oxygen and nutrients. The skin becomes pale and develops uneven skin coloring. In youngsters, the uneven skin tone is not a major issue but with time there is clear change observed in the skin tone.
Smoking Cause Sagging
There are hazardous chemicals in the cigarette smoke that badly affects the collagen and elastin present in the body. Collagen and elastin provide strength and keep the skin refresh. Smoking is highly dangerous and causes sagging. Even passive smoking affects the building block of the skin. As a consequence of this, there are serious skin issues and wrinkles. The harmful effects don’t stop here; it also causes saggy arms. With time the skin loses its elasticity and there is a droop in inner arms and breasts. Many researchers pointed out smoking as the top reason for sagging breasts.
Smoking cause lines on lips
Lips are the part of the face that directly contracted with the smoke. While smoking certain muscles cause wrinkles around the lips. The other factor we discussed earlier is the loss of elasticity. These two reasons combine to cause lines in the lips.
Smoking cause Damaged Teeth
Physical appearance matters a lot. Smoking causes the yellowish teeth and it seems very bad to others. Despite the physical appearance, it causes gum issues, bad breathing, and hygiene issues. The risk of losing the teeth in old age becomes double than a healthy person.
Smoking cause Hair loss
Hair loss is the most disturbing issue and often causes a lack of confidence. With age, hair loss becomes a common issue but those who are habitual smokers tend to develop much thinner hair. There are clear chances that a person becomes bald when the intake of cigarettes increases. In Asia, men usually become bald due to this reason.
Smoking cause cataracts
The heat and chemicals released from cigarettes are hazardous for the eyes. Eyes are vulnerable and easily in the reach of cigarette smoke. Smoking causes cataracts because the cloudy area of the lens damages the retina. If the damages cause serious vision issues, the only solution left for this problem is surgery.
Psoriasis
The Psoriasis causes red patches on the skin. These patches are different on different skin. The patches might be itchy and sore. The most affected areas in this disease are elbow, hand, feet, and back. The patches change color and might white, red, or silver. Many types of research and studies show that smokers are at greater risk of psoriasis.
Smoking cause Eye wrinkles
Wrinkles are commonly found on the skin. Many people have eye wrinkles on their skin and it increases with age. But the Crow’s feet wrinkles develop in a more early age and are deeper than nonsmokers. Heat emerging from the smoke increases the risk of clear crow’s feet. At the same time, the smoke inside the body damages the internal vessels of the body.
